CRETE’S GIANNOULIS HOTELS & RESORTS EXPANDS KOLYMBARI BEACH RETREAT

11 New Guestrooms Unveiled at the Giannoulis Grand Bay Beach Resort

The family-run, Greek-owned hotel brand, Giannoulis Hotels & Resorts, has unveiled 11 new guestrooms at its Giannoulis Grand Bay Beach Resort, just in time for the peak summer season.

The new rooms consist of four ‘Seaview Double Rooms with Balcony’ and seven ‘Double Rooms with Direct Pool Access’ in a new beach-facing wing, bringing the hotel’s total room count to 89.

Primely positioned on the sun-kissed beach of Kolymbari, Crete, Giannoulis Grand Bay Beach Resort is an adults-only resort, located just a two-minute drive from Kolymbari village and 23km west of Chania’s lively centre.

Ideal for couples and solo travellers, guests can take just a few steps from the main swimming pool at Grand Bay Beach Resort to the Blue Flag awarded, pebble beach of Kolymbari. Dining options at the hotel include the exclusive Azzuro a la carte restaurant, SeaLine a la carte taverna and the hotel’s buffet restaurant, plus there’s a pool bar. There’s also a small but well-equipped fitness centre, a sauna and a wellness area offering massage and beauty services.

As part of the boutique Giannoulis Hotels and Resorts brand, guests will discover the thoughtful and authentic hospitality that makes this family-run, Cretan business stand out from the crowd. The weekly Cretan Night event hosted in the hotel’s main restaurant showcases Cretan dishes, traditional dances and musical entertainment.

Kolymbari is a relaxed, charming Greek village, perfect for a stroll and a delicious stop at a taverna. History-buffs will enjoy exploring the nearby Mother of God Odigitria Gonia Monastery and active guests can book excursions from the hotel, including cycling, hiking, sailing and diving adventures.

Prices start from €116€ (£97) per room, per night on a bed and breakfast basis, based on two people sharing a room, if booked directly via www.giannoulishotels.com.
