Recently on Instagram, I was asked, “If you could only shop in one place for the rest of your life, where would it be?” The answer to that question has changed a LOT over the past decade as my style has evolved. When I was living in Utah (I’m from there!), I was not as partial to the colorful, preppy, feminine brands that I saw on women in the South, but in the last few years, that’s what I’ve started gravitating towards. I guess that’s what living in the South for over a decade will do to you ;).

So, the answer to that question now? Hands down, Tuckernuck. I love almost every single thing they carry. If I am shopping at another retailer, and I’m not quite sure how I feel about any given item, I tend to ask myself, “Would Tuckernuck carry it?” and if the answer is yes, I feel confident that it’ll be a winner. It’s impressive to me that their clothes are great for both 20-somethings and the 40-year-old mom like me. It’s classic, American, and feminine – everything I want my style to be.

10 Best Tuckernuck Tops for Your Closet

In today’s post, I’m rounding up my favorite Tuckernuck blouses from their current selection. Funny enough, I always struggle to buy tops. Dresses feel like more “practical” purchases since they’re an entire outfit on their own, and since nice blouses are expensive (and only 1/2 of an outfit), I usually need a push to make the purchase. But as a busy mom who has strong feelings about the best jeans and the best denim shorts, I need to invest in some breathable, yet cozy, feminine tops that I can wear all fall long. Here’s what I’m loving lately.

The Oxblood Dupioni Trapunto Stitch Sofia Shirt is one of those tops that instantly makes you feel like you have your life together. The deep oxblood color is gorgeous for fall, and the dupioni fabric has the slightest sheen that dresses it up. I love it styled with wide-leg jeans like these or fitted jeans like the MOTHER Hustlers, Madewell Kick Out Crop, or Quince Bella Kick Flare jeans. Pink Pique Holmes Boyfriend Polo

Next is this Pink Pique Holmes Boyfriend Polo. The cropped, relaxed fit is right up my alley for everyday mom-life. I love that you can easily throw it in the washing machine without special attention, and if you’re super southern, you might like the personalization option they have for this top too. While poth this top comes in six colors, the navy and white red are calling my name for fall since they’ll be perfect for layering. This puff sleeve alternative is cute, too.

Navy Cotton Colette Cardigan

The Navy Cotton Colette Cardigan is such a gorgeous, classic fall piece. Perfect for tossing over a fall dress or knotting around your shoulders if the breeze picks up. (Here are more tips for styling cardigans.) The navy goes with basically everything, but I’d especially love it over a white tee and any of my favorite jeans for a classic look.

I just got the Long Sleeve Piqué Puff-Sleeve Peggy Polo, which has that perfect mix of crisp and feminine. It has structured fabric, puff sleeves, and just enough coverage for cool mornings. I also grabbed the short-sleeve version since that will be perfect for warmer days that linger in the South. Both are great options to add a little prep to your outfit (here are more preppy wardrobe staples) and work with jeans, skirts, or layered under sweaters.

I’m not usually a rugby polo girl, but the Pink and Winetasting Stripe Rugby Polo has totally won me over by combining three of my favorite things: Tuckernuck, stripes, and a collar. The color combo feels fresh for fall, and the thicker knit makes it cozy without being heavy. It’s so cute with my favorite white jeans for Saturday brunch or errands or half-tucked into a skirt for a casual athleisure outfit.

The Winetasting Sawyer Blouse is such an easy “throw on and look nice” top. The color is rich and flattering, and the fit is loose but still polished. I like it tucked into dark denim with flats (I have these suede ballet flats and also love these leather ballet flats) now, then layered under a chunky cardigan like this when it’s cold.

The Staud Mane Stripe Didi Top is the definition of elevated casual. The bold stripes feel classic but still make a statement, and the fit is structured enough for work but fun enough for dinner out. There’s nothing more me than this sweater. I love all things America, and this Ivory Americana Sweater is such a tasteful, classic item. It’s pricey ($248.00), but I don’t mind since it’s a classic piece I know I’ll wear forever. It’s made with 100% cotton, and I have an XS. It runs big, so size down or plan to wear it oversized. I love timeless, classic pieces that show my love for the United States.

Parker Classic-Fit Tee

If you know me, you know I love a basic tee. The Parker Classic-Fit Tee has a thicker cotton that feels substantial and holds its shape. It’s perfect for layering under blazers or cardigans, but I also love it on its own with jeans and white sneakers. This top is under $90 and a classic you’ll wear into the ground. Black Livia Puff Sleeve Top

I own this Black Livia Puff Sleeve Top and LOVE the material! It’s ribbed, which I didn’t realize until it arrived, and I’ve really liked that it’s different than the rest of the tops I own! I find that it feels more dressy than casual, so I usually pair it with fitted jeans instead of denim shorts, but that’s totally preference. The puff sleeves add a fun, feminine detail, and the v-neck makes it easy to style with my favorite everyday jewelry.
