The good news is that Trump is at 30% approval. It's not the lowest any President has fallen: Harry S. Truman: Reached an all-time low of 22% in February 1952, driven by the Korean War and economic and corruption issues.Richard Nixon: Fell to a low of 24% in 1974 during the Watergate scandal just before his resignation.Jimmy Carter: Dropped to 28% in 1979 amid an energy crisis and high inflation. However, it is amongst the lowest, and still going down. The bad news is that nearly one third of Americans, in spite of everything going on with the American economy, healthcare, education, child care, eldercare, science and medical research, still support Trump and his nightmare. Personally, I do not understand how anyone could vote for a Republican, but they do. Democracy in America hangs on the November election, which Trump and the MAGAts are trying to rig in every way they can think of but, if the turn out is big enough, and Democratic enough, Democracy will still survive. A total of 30% of Americans say they approve of the way Donald Trump is handling his job as president and 66% say they disapprove of the way Trump is handling his job according to the latest survey from the American Research Group. In July, 30% of Americans approved of the way Trump was handling his job and 67% disapproved. In August 2018, 36% approved of the way Trump was handling his job as president and 59% disapproved. When it comes to Trump’s handling of the economy, 28% of Americans approve and 69% disapprove. In July, 28% of Americans approved of the way Trump was handling the economy and 70% disapproved. In August 2018, 40% approved of the way Trump was handling the economy and 55% disapproved. Among Americans registered to vote, 31% approve of the way Trump is handling his job as president and 66% disapprove.
