QPR1st thanks Martí Cifuentes for his impact at QPR and wishes him well, as fans look ahead to the new season with hope and optimism.
QPR1st Supporters Trust notes the confirmed departure of Martí Cifuentes from the club.
Martí joined us at a really low point for the club and navigated us safe from the drop zone on two successive occasions. Well-liked by the fans, the Spaniard generated spells of good football and great results.
Whilst not always immune from criticism, we feel he leaves the squad and the club in a better place than when he joined. As we said at the time of the garden leave announcement we are saddened that it came to this point.
The full reasons for his departure remain unclear, but it is understood there has been a divergence of opinions with the club board.
We would like to put on record our very best wishes for Martí in his future endeavours.
Along with the club, we can now all move forward into the new season with hope and optimism in our hearts.
