Premier League clubs are increasingly moving beyond traditional shirt sponsorships and matchday advertising to build more specialised commercial propositions, with a series of new partnerships and renewals highlighting the changing shape of football sponsorship.

Manchester City, Crystal Palace, Tottenham Hotspur, AFC Bournemouth and Nottingham Forest have announced agreements across ticketing technology, footwear, logistics, betting, sports nutrition, financial services and health-and-safety technology in recent days.

While the categories vary, a common thread runs through the deals: clubs are creating greater value by integrating partners into specific parts of their sporting, digital and business ecosystems.

Manchester City turn SeatGeek relationship into global partnership

Manchester City have expanded their relationship with SeatGeek into a new global partnership, building on a ticketing technology agreement that has been in place since the 2018 Premier League season.

SeatGeek will continue to provide the technology supporting ticketing for matchdays, hospitality and concerts at both the Etihad Stadium and Joie Stadium. Manchester City will retain control of the direct sale and resale of its tickets, with SeatGeek continuing to power the underlying technology through the club’s website and app.

The major change is commercial visibility. For the first time, SeatGeek branding will appear across Manchester City’s digital and social channels, as well as in the stadium during men’s and women’s matchdays. The partnership also gives SeatGeek an opportunity to use Manchester City’s international reach to build greater brand awareness in the United States, a key market for both organisations.

Greg Swimer, Chief Technology Officer at City Football Group, said, “Continuously investing in the best technology to improve the online ticketing and membership experience for fans is a key priority for Manchester City. We have worked with SeatGeek for a number of years as our trusted ticketing technology provider, and it’s fantastic to further integrate our two brands with the announcement of this global partnership. We look forward to continuing to work together over the coming years.”

The agreement illustrates a wider evolution in sports technology partnerships: platforms that were previously positioned primarily as infrastructure providers are increasingly being brought into the commercial story of the sports property.

Crystal Palace build two different commercial propositions

Crystal Palace have added two distinct partnerships, with Brooks Running entering the club’s performance ecosystem while Ziegler UK extends an established logistics relationship.

Brooks has signed a multi-year agreement to become Crystal Palace’s footwear partner and front-of-training-wear partner across both the men’s and women’s first teams.

The Brooks logo will appear on the front of training, travel, walkout and warm-up apparel. The partnership also includes stadium, digital and content rights.

The deal gives Brooks a route into football without competing directly for conventional matchday kit categories. Instead, the brand is positioning running as a fundamental component of football performance, connecting its expertise in movement and endurance with elite football training.

Melanie Allen, Chief Marketing Officer at Brooks Running, said, “Running is fundamental to football. Every match is built on endurance, speed, and movement, so there’s a natural connection between the gear elite athletes need to train and the performance products Brooks has spent decades perfecting. Connection with runners, wherever they find their sport, is central to our global growth. This partnership connects us with millions of footballers and fans who already understand the discipline, commitment, and performance mindset at the heart of running.”

The relationship also extends into Palace for Life’s community programme, with Brooks supporting the organisation’s Marathon March.

Palace has simultaneously renewed its partnership with Ziegler UK for a further three seasons, keeping the logistics company as its logistics partner through the 2028-29 Premier League season. The relationship began in 2023.

Ziegler will continue to receive visibility through pitchside LED and digital ribbon advertising, media backdrop branding and stadium screens, alongside digital campaigns, business networking opportunities, hospitality and client experiences.

The first three-year agreement generated more than £5.5 million in reported 100% Media Equivalency and nearly £1.5 million in Quality Index Media Value, according to industry reporting based on company figures. The partnership was also reported to have generated around 130 million QI impressions.

Paul O’Brien, Chief Commercial Officer at Crystal Palace FC, said, “We’re delighted to extend our partnership with Ziegler UK for a further three years. Over the course of our partnership, we have built a really strong relationship with Lee and the wider Ziegler team, and their decision to renew and expand their involvement with the Club is a testament to the success of that relationship. Ziegler is an ambitious, forward-thinking business and a fantastic partner for Crystal Palace. We’re looking forward to continuing to work closely together and taking the partnership even further over the next three seasons.”

For Palace, the renewal demonstrates the value of extending an existing commercial relationship while increasing the inventory available to the partner.

Spurs target international betting and elite performance

Tottenham Hotspur have added two partnerships that demonstrate how clubs can create highly specific commercial categories around both geography and performance.

Sportsbet.io has signed a three-year agreement to become Tottenham’s official North America & Africa betting partner from the 2026-27 Premier League season.

The partnership will focus on digital content and fan engagement initiatives for international supporters, with activation across North America, Africa and beyond. The agreement will operate in line with applicable regulations and football’s Code of Conduct for Gambling-Related Agreements.

Ryan Norys, Chief Revenue Officer, Tottenham Hotspur, said, “We are looking forward to working with Sportsbet.io to deliver opportunities for our fans in North America and Africa, as well as internationally. Sportsbet.io represents a credible and experienced sports betting partner, with a strong strategic fit given their prior experience in football, and we are delighted to welcome them on board.”

The territorial structure is particularly significant. Rather than assigning a single global betting relationship, Tottenham have created a defined commercial proposition around two international markets, allowing the club and brand to target specific audiences.

Spurs have also signed a three-year agreement with Soccer Supplement as their official performance nutrition partner.

The specialist UK sports nutrition company will provide products for the men’s first team across preparation, fuelling, hydration and recovery. Its portfolio includes energy and caffeine gels, electrolytes, protein and recovery formulas, as well as vitamins and minerals.

Ted Munson, Head of Nutrition, Tottenham Hotspur said, “Nutrition plays a vital role in supporting our players’ preparation, performance and recovery, so having access to products that are specially designed with the demands of football in mind is essential in a performance environment.”

The agreement gives Soccer Supplement direct association with an elite football performance operation while allowing Tottenham to integrate a specialist supplier into the team’s preparation and recovery processes.

Bournemouth expands RAF relationship into women’s football

AFC Bournemouth have renewed their partnership with Renaissance Asset Finance for a further three Premier League seasons through 2028-29.

RAF will remain an official partner of The Net, Bournemouth’s business community, while becoming an official partner of the club’s Women’s Team for the first time.

The renewed agreement includes stadium LED branding, interview backdrop branding and big-screen advertising, alongside hospitality, networking opportunities and engagement with the club’s supporter and business communities.

The addition of the women’s team is an important expansion of the relationship. Rather than simply renewing the existing commercial inventory, Bournemouth has added another sporting property that gives RAF access to a broader club ecosystem.

Jamie Chaplin, Commercial Director at Renaissance Asset Finance, said, “We are delighted to extend our partnership with AFC Bournemouth and broaden our involvement with the club through The Net and the Women’s Team. Building strong relationships is central to what we do, and AFC Bournemouth provides an excellent platform to connect with businesses and supporters across the south coast and beyond. We look forward to building on our successful partnership over the next three seasons.”

The deal demonstrates how clubs can increase the scope of an existing partnership by adding secondary properties and business-facing platforms rather than relying solely on conventional first-team inventory.

Nottingham Forest expands Ideagen relationship into netball and technology

Nottingham Forest have also expanded an established partnership, with Ideagen becoming the club’s official health & safety technology partner for the 2026-27 Premier League season.

The relationship, which began in 2021, will continue across Forest’s men’s team, women’s team and academy while expanding to Nottingham Forest Netball for the first time.

The partnership has a more integrated technology component than a conventional sponsorship. Forest is using Ideagen’s health-and-safety technology, creating a direct operational connection between the software company and the sports organisation.

Paul Bell, Chief Operating Officer at Nottingham Forest, said, “Ideagen has been a trusted partner of Nottingham Forest for many years, and we’re delighted to continue this relationship. As the Club continues to grow both on and off the pitch, partnerships that bring genuine expertise, innovation and community impact are increasingly important. Ideagen is a global, industry-leading business, and we’ve already seen the positive impact its solutions can bring to our organisation and beyond.”

Ideagen’s platform is designed to help organisations manage health and safety, quality, risk and compliance across complex operating environments.

Community activity remains another major component. The partnership continues to support Think Big, a programme delivered with Nottingham Forest Foundation that introduces young people to technology, innovation and potential career opportunities.

According to Ideagen, more than 71,000 young people have participated in the programme since its introduction. The expansion into netball also follows Ideagen’s involvement as principal partner of netball at the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games.

From sponsorship inventory to integrated commercial ecosystems

Taken together, the seven agreements point towards a broader evolution in Premier League commercial strategy. The traditional sponsorship model has largely been built around visibility: a logo on a shirt, perimeter advertising, hospitality and media exposure. The latest deals show clubs increasingly packaging access, integration and specialist rights alongside visibility.

Manchester City are turning a technology relationship into a global commercial partnership. Crystal Palace are using training apparel and running performance to create a new footwear proposition while extending an established logistics deal. Tottenham is carving out geographic betting rights and integrating nutrition into its performance operation. Bournemouth are adding its women’s team to an existing financial-services relationship, while Nottingham Forest are combining technology, multiple sporting properties and community activity within their Ideagen partnership. For brands, that creates opportunities to use sports partnerships for objectives beyond awareness.

Technology companies can demonstrate their products within real sporting environments. Performance brands can integrate with athlete preparation. Financial-services businesses can use clubs’ B2B networks. International brands can target specific territories. And sponsors can gain access to women’s sport, academy programmes and other properties that extend their reach beyond the men’s first team.

For clubs, meanwhile, the strategy creates additional commercial inventory at a time when the most visible assets, particularly front-of-shirt, stadium naming and major kit categories, remain finite.

The direction of travel is therefore clear: Premier League sponsorship is becoming less about simply owning a category and more about owning a specific piece of the club’s ecosystem.

The commercial value of a partnership increasingly lies in how deeply a brand can be integrated into the club’s technology, performance, business, community and sporting infrastructure, giving clubs more ways to monetise their audiences while giving sponsors more tangible reasons to invest.
