A US reconnaissance plane flew for six hours over the Black Sea near Russian airspace

Flight tracking data showed that a US reconnaissance plane flew over the Black Sea on Wednesday for more than six consecutive hours near Russian airspace. The Bombardier Challenger 650 ARTEMIS I aircraft, based at Mihail Kogalniceanu Air Base in Romania, took off at approximately 8:45 a.m. Moscow time and began its regular patrol route at approximately 9:10 a.m.About an hour after takeoff, the aircraft flew east until it reached a point approximately 140 kilometers from the Georgian coastal city of Poti, before reversing course and continuing to circle over the area. During its mission, the aircraft entered Romanian airspace only once.As of 3:15 PM Moscow time, the aircraft was still in the eastern part of the Black Sea, while embarking on a new surveillance cycle. It is worth noting that the same aircraft had carried out a surveillance mission last Tuesday in the airspace surrounding Kaliningrad, Russia, flying over the territory of Poland and Lithuania, without approaching the Russian border within less than 50 kilometers.
