I’m starting to lift the lid on all the ‘little things’ I’ve implemented with AI that save me time, produce better work & make business life better.
Most business owners I work with tend to juggle projects, wear a few different hats and face the same challenges that I do.
Each time I solve a ‘minor challenge’ using AI, tech or a VA, I’ll share it with you here and on YouTube!
On that front, I had a moment the other week that made me laugh.
Because for years, I’ve been creating YouTube thumbnails the hard way.
You probably know the drill.
Back-and-forth with offshore designers, graphics that feel a bit cheap, and revisions that somehow make things worse.
And the final result? Still looked like something made in 2012.
But something shifted.
And if you publish any kind of video content, this will save you hours.
Here’s what happened.
I was reviewing another batch of “almost right” thumbnails.
Close enough that I could approve them, but off enough that I knew the CTR would suffer.
Then I pressed the yellow button.
The little AI Concierge button inside Automation Agency.
Everything changed.
I spoke one instruction:
“Alex, create me a YouTube thumbnail mockup using my brand style. Make it bold, clean, and clickable.”
Alex did a mock up & then wrote a full design brief for a human to finish it off.
Not a loose idea.
A proper brief that designers can act on.
And then it did something freelancers often struggle with.
It handed that brief straight to a human designer who created a polished, editable Canva template I can reuse forever.
That’s when it hit me.
This beats Fiverr.
This beats Upwork.
This beats doing it yourself at 11.54 pm.
Because here’s the truth:
- Most freelancers don’t know your company inside out. AI does.
- Most freelancers don’t understand your workflow. AI does.
- Most freelancers send static JPGs. AI gives you mockups & hands it off to humans for templates you can adapt.
In the video, I walk through the whole workflow:
✓ How the AI voice command works
✓ Why the AI → human handoff is the real magic
✓ How Canva templates remove the thumbnail headache
✓ The exact process I’m using to publish videos faster
✓ And why this outperforms cheap offshore designers every time
If thumbnails have ever slowed you down, here’s the video:

And if you want help using AI to clean up your marketing workflow ( thumbnails, scripts, newsletters, socials) that’s exactly what I help clients with. I use Automation Agency. to handle the techy and design tasks and I recommend them to clients too.
Finally, if you’re running conferences next year and want an AI & Marketing speaker who shows practical workflows (not a fluffy futurist), hit reply with your date and audience. I can share suggested topics.
