This is a big one! Listen Carefully.
No matter how busy, overwhelmed, or unseen you may feel, there’s something I’ve come to trust deeply over the years—both as a nurse and as a spiritual seeker:
No thought goes unheard.
A spiritual teacher once said to me,
“The universe has ears.”
It’s listening to everything EVERYTHING you think iin your mind.
AND speak out loud with your mouth. WOW!
That really stuck with me.
Not in a punitive way.
Not in a shaming way.
But in a deeply intelligent, responsive, relational way.
Why This Matters
Every thought we hold carries energy.
Every inner conversation creates momentum.
And the law of cause and effect is always quietly at work—
whether we’re aware of it or not.
As nurses, this matters deeply.
We work in environments saturated with stress, urgency, suffering, and responsibility.
We absorb more than we’re ever taught how to release.
Over time, the thoughts we repeat—
about ourselves, our work, our limits—
begin to shape not just our mood, but our:
Nervous system
Health
Sense of hope
Choosing Something Different
So today, I’m choosing something different—
and I’m inviting you to join me.
Today, I seek right-minded thought.
Thoughts rooted in truth, not fear.
Thoughts shaped by compassion, not blame.
Thoughts that remember who I am beneath the exhaustion.
I surrender my mind to God, the Divine Mother, my Higher Power—
whatever name feels true for you—
so my thoughts may be lifted to higher ground.
I Choose To:
• Forego blame and embrace blessing
• Forego fear and embrace love
• Forego violence—inner or outer—and embrace peace
In doing so, we become something powerful:
Co-creators with the Divine
—even in the middle of ordinary days and imperfect systems.
A Gentle Reminder
Let this be your end-of-year reminder:
Your thoughts matter.
Your inner life matters.
And the universe—God, Spirit, the Divine Mother—is listening.
A Prayer for Nurses
Today I pray that my mind may become
an instrument of love
and a method of miracles.
May my thoughts be guided by God,
the Divine Mother,
my Higher Power,
and may they be turned into a blessing—
for myself,
for my patients,
for my colleagues,
and for this world that so desperately needs healed hearts.

With deep respect for all you carry,
