Trump’s dark plans for the US midterms have already begun

Simon Marks, Emmy Award-winning Commentator - The PaperStephan: Every day, what I am seeing is moves by criminal Trump and his serviles, to rig the midterm election. There is nowhere near enough discussion or media coverage about this. He is trying to do four things, in my opinion, to achieve his goals. First, he is trying to rig districts to protect the Republican Congressional majorities. Second, he is trying to change the way people can vote. Third, he is trying to get control as to how the votes are counted. Fourth, he is militarizing cities and states and creating so much chaos that people will be discouraged from voting.

WASHINGTON DC – With Donald Trump, there is invariably a “tell” that reveals unannounced ideas percolating away inside his mind. His daily, stream-of-consciousness engagements with White House visitors and members of the press corps often include throw-away lines that turn out to contain the germ of a notion taking root within his grey cells.
That’s how we first learned that he was considering the imposition of tariffs on the UK and seven other Nato members over their opposition to him taking Greenland.
“I may do that,” he said during remarks at an entirely unrelated event last Friday. Twenty-four hours later, his suddenly detailed plan was unveiled.
So when Trump made two separate references in the past fortnight to the possibility of cancelling the US’s midterm elections, which are set for November, eyebrows were raised.
