The Indian Golf Premier League (IGPL) has named Yatra as its official travel and logistics partner, further strengthening the league’s commercial ecosystem ahead of its upcoming season.

The partnership will see one of India’s leading online travel company oversee end-to-end travel management for players, officials and league stakeholders as the franchise-based competition continues its nationwide expansion.

Under the agreement, Yatra will manage a comprehensive suite of travel services, including domestic and international flight bookings, hotel accommodation, rail and bus reservations, ground transportation, visa assistance, travel insurance and other logistics support. The collaboration is expected to streamline tournament operations across multiple host cities, enabling the league to deliver a seamless experience on and off the course.

The partnership comes at a pivotal stage in IGPL’s growth as it seeks to establish itself as India’s premier franchise golf competition. The league has already secured a landmark US$100 million financial commitment from its ten franchise owners, with each franchise investing approximately US$10 million over a ten-year period. The long-term investment represents the largest private capital commitment in Indian golf and underlines the league’s ambitions to accelerate the professionalisation and commercial development of the sport.

IGPL’s franchise network spans ten cities—Hyderabad, Mumbai, Kolkata, Delhi, Chennai, Visakhapatnam, Goa, Bengaluru, Punjab and Gurugram—providing the league with a strong national footprint while expanding golf’s reach into both established and emerging sporting markets.

Uttam Singh Mundy, CEO of IGPL, said, “We are delighted to have an experienced partner like Yatra take care of our players’ and officials’ travel requirements. It will reduce the stress associated with travel and make operations much smoother, allowing players to focus on performing well on the course.” He added, “Strong partnerships are an important part of building a successful sporting property, and we are pleased to have Yatra join us for this journey.”

Siddhartha Gupta, Chief Executive Officer, Yatra Online, added, “At Yatra, we have long been passionate about contributing to the growth and development of sports in India. As Indian sports leagues evolve into large, multi-city sporting properties, seamless mobility has become a critical enabler of their success. We are delighted to partner with the Indian Golf Premier League at this exciting stage of its journey. Leveraging our deep expertise in managing complex travel logistics at scale, we are committed to delivering a seamless travel experience for players, officials, and league stakeholders, enabling them to stay focused on what they do best— creating a world-class sporting spectacle.”

The agreement reinforces IGPL’s strategy of building a robust commercial and operational framework by attracting investment, expanding its franchise model, and positioning itself as a long-term growth platform for professional golf in India.
