The prediction-market operator, Kalshi, has significantly expanded its presence in Major League Baseball after entering exclusive, multi-year brand partnerships with the Atlanta Braves, Boston Red Sox, Los Angeles Dodgers, San Diego Padres and San Francisco Giants.

The agreements mark Kalshi’s first partnerships with MLB franchises and give the company commercial access to five of the league’s most recognisable brands. The deals cover in-stadium branding, social and digital content, radio integrations and fan activations, as Kalshi seeks to bring its prediction-market offering closer to the live baseball experience.

Adam Barrick, Head of Sports Partnerships at Kalshi, said, “The idea is that fans are already engaging with their favourite teams on Kalshi, so it only makes sense to extend that fandom to some of the most beloved baseball teams in America.”

The latest agreements follow a series of recent moves by Kalshi to strengthen its position across the global sports ecosystem. The company has recently partnered with the Argentina Football Association, entered into a landmark agreement with Sportradar, and forged an alliance with ADI Predictstreet to expand global prediction markets. The deals underline Kalshi’s broader strategy of establishing prediction markets across major sporting properties and building relationships spanning football, baseball, sports data and media.

The expansion comes amid a sharp rise in baseball activity on Kalshi. The company said trading volume across its baseball markets has increased 36-fold year over year, while Fortune reported that baseball-related contracts traded on the platform reached nearly 13 billion in 2026, compared with approximately 355 million during the same period last year.

Kalshi’s move also intensifies competition among prediction-market operators for MLB commercial rights. Polymarket has an existing league-level partnership with MLB and has partnered with the New York Yankees, while Novig has agreed to a multi-year deal with the New York Mets. With seven MLB franchises now holding individual prediction-market partnerships, the category is rapidly becoming part of the league’s commercial landscape.

Kalshi is also reportedly in discussions with MLB over a potential separate league-level partnership, potentially setting up a broader commercial contest with Polymarket.

The expansion, however, comes as Kalshi continues to face regulatory challenges over its sports-related contracts in several U.S. states, adding uncertainty to the company’s ambitions within the professional sports industry.
