Who is This Workshop For?
Are you working on a paper in international business that would benefit from constructive feedback? Whether you are preparing a manuscript for journal submission, developing a paper as a stepping stone toward AIB 2026 Manchester, or refining work at any stage of development, Women in the Academy of International Business (WAIB), the Emerging Markets SIG, and the AIB UK & Ireland Chapter are here to support you.
This workshop is designed to facilitate three specific outcomes for participants—if your personal professional development goals align with one or more of these items, you are likely to be a strong candidate for this program:
- To receive tailored feedback from senior scholars in your area.
- To advance your work toward AIB 2026 and/or journal submission.
- To build mentoring relationships and connect with the WAIB, Emerging Markets SIG, and AIB UKI communities.
We invite submissions from scholars at all career stages and on all IB-related topics. If submissions exceed capacity, priority may be given to papers at a more advanced stage of development.
How Can I Apply to Participate?
Please submit an extended abstract (max. 5 pages, single-spaced; references, tables, and figures excluded from the page limit) by 1 November 2025 via our online submission form.
When submitting, please indicate whether you would like feedback on:
- A full draft (to be submitted after acceptance), or
- A partially-completed manuscript.
- A research idea
Acceptance decisions will be made by 15 November 2025.
How Will This Workshop be Structured?
Authors of accepted submissions will be matched with an experienced mentor in their field. Mentor–mentee pairs will then arrange a mutually convenient time for a one-to-one virtual coaching session, to take place between late November and early December 2025.
This flexible format is designed to provide individualized, in-depth feedback while accommodating busy schedules and global time zones.
