Summer is here, and I’m thinking about my terrace and back yard. Here are a few outdoor lighting items I’ve come across.
These outdoor string lights get an A+ by reviewers for durability. They are waterproof, the G40 LED bulbs are shatterproof, and they are connectible if you need more than one set. The bulbs stay cool to the touch even after hours of operation, and they can withstand extreme temperatures, rain, wind, and damp climates. The bulbs are spaced 12” apart. The lights are lightweight and easily portable. $29.98 for a 35.5’ strand.
This outside hanging light is called the Fatboy Bolleke Suspension Lamp. It is cordless and can be used both indoors and outdoors. The LED bulb has three brightness settings, and a strap to hang the light. There are four strap colors. It charges with a USB and a charge lasts 12 hours. The lamp is 8” in diameter. The lamp is $115.99.
ALEPOD solar pathway lights are popular, weather-resistant outdoor landscape lights that eliminate the need for wiring or electrical costs. They have adjustable height options, they have automatic dawn to dusk sensors and color-changing LEDs that will light up your yard, driveway, and walkways. They are durable, have adjustable light level modes and provide light for 12-15 hours. They are easy to install because they are on stakes. A set of 8 is $45.99.
I read a great review of a smart LED bulb that has a battery reserve so it can operate as usual during a power outage. If unscrewed it can be used as a flashlight. The bulb is slightly larger than normal and measures 5.6”. This bulb is for indoor use only. Two (2) LED+ Rechargeable Battery Backup LED A21 Battery Lights is $32.03.
